Business Before/After Hours

phoca_thumb_l_100_1605What is Business Before/After Hours?

The Chamber’s Business Before/After Hours provides the area’s premier networking opportunities by offering guests the chance to meet people representing products and services in a relaxed, social setting. Members get to meet with other members and exchange ideas and make important long-lasting bonds. The host business gets to showcase their workplace and gain valuable exposure.

The host of the event must be a member of the Chamber in and both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate. While the program for the event varies from business to business,  the host should be prepared to talk about their company and answer questions.

When?

The Chamber schedules Business Before/After Hours events on the 2nd Thursday of every other month beginning in February. BBH are held typically held from 8 – 9:30 am and BAH are from 5:30 -7 pm, but can be changed to meet the host’s needs.

What are the responsibilities of the member host business?

Business Before/After Hours are popular events and attendance varies from 50 to 100 guests. A centralized area large enough for mingling, plenty of parking and a convenient area for registering guests will get your event off to a great start. We have helped host many events and can help you estimate the number of guests you can expect at your event. The Chamber also encourages the use of its members for food and beverage.

The host business organizes the event and coordinates the details.  They will also provide beverages and refreshments; generally hors d’oeuvres/finger foods and door prizes. A Chamber board member will speak and a representative of your business should plan to give a brief talk on the business. This is your time to showcase your business and your employees.
