The Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will host its 43rd Annual Banquet & Meeting on Thursday, January 16, 2020. The Banquet offers an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the 2019 “Program of Work” and frame the goals for the coming year. Outstanding individuals and businesses within our communities will be recognized. The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the “Citizen of the Year” award.

The Chamber is now accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year & the Small Business of the Year awards that will be presented at the Banquet.

Criteria for Citizen of the Year: Individual, business or organization that has had a significant impact on the community through their volunteer and charitable activities; has shown leadership and performance in many areas of community service during an extended period of time; and has over the years contributed to the general benefit of the community as a whole.

Criteria for Small Business of the Year: A business (fewer than 50 employees) that has been actively involved in Chamber events, reflected the goals of the chamber, made the best use of chamber programs and resources; and has shown entrepreneurial qualities and exhibited potential for growth and expansion while promoting itself in a professional manner. “These business awards have been a chamber staple for many years, and we are proud to be honoring some of the community’s “shining stars”.
